CIESPI

CIESPI is a research and reference center dedicated to research and on-the-ground projects about children and youth, and their families and communities. Its goal is to inform policy and practice for this population thereby contributing to the implementation of children's rights and promoting their full development.

Principal Activities

• Develop interdisciplinary research studies and projects that contribute to the debate about public polices and practices for children, youth, families and communities;
• Organize lectures, courses, and seminars to publicize CIESPI’s findings locally, nationally and internationally;
• Disseminate research and project findings, data and methodological information from studies conducted in Brazil and elsewhere;
• Offer training to students and professionals on a variety of subject matter;
• Provide advice and technical assistance on projects, programs and studies in the areas of CIESPI’s expertise.

• Participate in the national and international interdisciplinary dialogue about children
• Build the capacity of students and professionals
• Analyze and disseminate information
